BBAU is a central university funded by the Indian government, which provides it with significant autonomy and resources and the university has been ranked 58th overall in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024, also the campus accredited ‘Grade A’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) is part of the School of Media and Communication. It was established in 2008 and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in journalism and mass communication.
